a beautiful collaboration of unique afterschool experiences for creative kids

Mosaic Afterschool Club is a place for elementary school-aged kids to learn and develop their creativity through Yoga, Art, Culinary, Drama and Music in the after school hours during the school year with two location options: Monroe Street Arts Center and Randall Elementary School! Throughout each week, Club groups will experience each of the specialties. Kids will also have Free Create & Club activities and snack time each day.

Yoga/Fitness is led by little om BIG OM, Culinary by Yummy Sprout and Art & Music by Monroe Street Arts Center and Drama by local specialists. Groups are led by talented and passionate Club Leaders! This program is directed by Jamie Gale & Tara Verma. We are incredibly excited to create with school-aged kids all year long!

A Club Staff member will meet students who attend Randall Elementary School and are participating in Mosaic at MSAC to walk along with them to Monroe Street Arts Center. Students who attend Randall who are attending Mosaic at Randall will be greeted in the Club room after school. Students who do not attend Randall will arrive by parent drop-off at both locations. (Note for Franklin Elem Families: We will greet any Franklin students who have MMSD approval to take the bus in the afternoons that stops at the closest stop to MSAC or Randall and we will walk with them to Club; please Contact Us to discuss this possibility.)

FAQs:

Q: Can my child attend for part of the afternoon?

A: Yes! Snack and Create & Connect Time will take place for the first part of each day and we will help students join the activities as they arrive! Specialty activities (art, yoga, culinary, drama or music) will begin at about 3:45 pm.

Q: Can I pick my child up at a different time than 5:15?

A: Yes! Pick up is anytime between 4:45-5:15. Club leaders will be helping kids with Club Connect activities during this time so please pick up when it is convenient for you!

Q: What about COVID?

A: We have been successfully running our Club program since September 2020, without needing to close, and have established health and safety protocols that we follow carefully. Please see below for our current COVID-19 protocol. With the ever-changing landscape, we update our plan as is advised, however we will absolutely be following all Public Health orders and are 100% committed to prioritizing the health and safety of our Club families and our staff.

COVID-19 Notes:

Our plan is constantly evolving as new information and guidelines become available, with the overarching goal of creativity and community in a safe and healthy environment. Our current protocol include:

  • We require our staff to be up to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.

  • Thorough cleaning of surfaces and spaces will be a priority.

  • Masks are currently optional indoors and outdoors at camp. We will follow all mask-related public health orders in place during the camp session and will adjust our mask policy on an ongoing basis due to public health orders or specific circumstances in a session.

  • Hand  sanitizer and hand washing stations will always be available for  students and staff and frequent hand washing will be practiced.

  • We  will follow all health and safety requirements from Public Health Madison & Dane County and the CDC regarding  quarantines and closures and expect families to do the same.
